We supply tulip contacts, contact clips, contact fingers and conductive parts for withdrawable circuit breakers, disconnectors and distribution switchgear.
A tulip contact consists of several contact fingers arranged in a circle and held by springs. When it is pushed onto a fixed contact, each finger applies pressure independently and shares the current across several points, allowing withdrawable equipment to be connected and disconnected repeatedly.
They are mainly used in withdrawable power circuit breakers, disconnectors and medium- and high-voltage switchgear panels. With repeated racking cycles, spring fatigue or plating wear can cause hot spots, so replacing them is a routine maintenance task.
Complete assemblies or individual fingers, with their springs and retaining parts.
Clips for busbars, disconnector contacts and plug-in switchgear connections.
Fixed contacts, connection bars and machined copper parts for switchgear panels and switchboards.
| Part type | Tulip contact, contact fingers, contact clip, fixed plug-in contact |
|---|---|
| Base material | Electrolytic copper or copper alloys depending on application |
| Plating | Silver, tin, nickel plating or others, to specification |
| Associated parts | Pressure springs, rings and fasteners |

Power supply switchgear in industrial and railway networks.
It is a plug-in contact made up of several fingers arranged around an axis and pressed by springs. It allows withdrawable equipment to be connected while sharing the current across several contact points.
When there are signs of overheating, plating loss, deformed fingers or loss of spring pressure. Periodic inspections and thermographic surveys help to detect this.
