Power circuit breakers and disconnectors protect and isolate the incoming supply and main outgoing feeders of an installation. After years of service or after clearing short circuits, their contacts, arc chutes and mechanisms lose performance, and a failure can leave the whole plant without power.
A workshop overhaul allows wear parts to be replaced, parts that are no longer manufactured to be reproduced, the mechanism to be restored and the unit's operation to be verified, extending its service life without replacing the existing switchgear.
